About Kelley

I am a 24-year-old living in the Nashville, TN area.  A few weeks before graduating from Christopher Newport University with my Bachelors degree in Communication Studies, I decided not to remain there for the following year to achieve my Masters of Arts in Teaching.  I realized that teaching elementary school was no longer something I was passionate about and headed home to find out what it was I really wanted to spend the rest of my life doing.  I had always thought it would be fun to plan weddings and events and was fortunate that in October 2010, some local event planners were willing to give me a shot at assisting them and see how I did.  Although it’s not all fun and glam like most people imagine it, I have truly found something that I am incredibly passionate about.  With a lot of hard work and prayer, I have continued to be blessed with more opportunities to learn and experience this amazing industry and am so thankful that God has placed me in the right places at the right times to meet the wonderful people I have met so far.  Thank you to all of those who have patiently taken the time to teach and mentor me over the last few months.  In addition, I must also take the time to thank my family and friends who have been so incredibly encouraging and supportive of me in following my dreams and my passions.  And most importantly, I have to give all credit to God for these opportunities and for my very detailed, OCD planning personality and creativity! 🙂  I recently moved to Nashville from Washington, DC/Northern Virginia and am excited to see the event opportunities available here in Music City!
